By the end of 2025, Kazakhstan will modernize five automobile checkpoints, including Temir Baba on the border with Turkmenistan. This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Slyamov at a press conference.
As reported by Zakon.kz, the Temir Baba checkpoint is among the priority facilities where modern control and data processing systems will be introduced, which will significantly increase the throughput and speed of border crossing.
In total, there are 52 automobile checkpoints on the state border of Kazakhstan. Of these, 6 have already been successfully modernized - including Nur Zholy, Kalzhat, Alakol on the border with China, as well as Baurzhan Konyspayev, Kaplanbek and Atameken in the Uzbek direction.
In addition to Temir Baba, in 2025 the Kazygurt and Tazhen (border with Uzbekistan) and Maykapchagay and Bakhty (border with Kyrgyzstan) checkpoints will also be updated.
