At the laboratory of the Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Yard “Balkan” destructive testing has commenced.

Turkmenistan's international ties are improving, and along with them, the country's transport sector is reaching global standards. In particular, two dry cargo ships with a deadweight of 6100 tons, meeting world standards, are currently being constructed at a high level at the Balkan Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Yard in cooperation with the South Korean shipbuilding company Koryo Shipbuilding Industry Technology Co., Ltd.

Furthermore, based on Certificate No. 7.1.4.3 issued on May 12, 2025, by the Russian Federation Classification Society "Russian Maritime Register of Shipping," the laboratory of the Balkan Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Yard conducts destructive testing of welded parts and is capable of performing the following types of tests:

1.      Static tensile testing of samples.

2.      Tests of longitudinal cylindrical samples for static tension.

3.      Static bending tests of samples.

4.      Testing of samples for static fracture.

5.      Testing of samples for impact bending.

6.      Testing of samples by hardness measurements.

7.      Testing of samples for the control of macro glyphs.
