The seventh meeting of the Turkmen-Chinese Intergovernmental Committee on Cooperation was held Thursday in Ashgabat. A series of bilateral documents was signed following the meeting, Turkmenistan’s official media reported.
The Turkmen side was led by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov. The Chinese delegation was headed by Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee.

On the same day, an international scientific and practical conference titled “Turkmenistan — China: 20 Years of Strategic Cooperation in the Gas Sector” was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.
