As the beautiful nature of Turkmenistan awakens and the first signs of spring emerge, the maritime gateway of our country has taken on an especially festive atmosphere. On March 4, 2026, the conference hall of the “Balkan” Shipbuilding and Shiprepairing Yard” Open Joint Stock Company hosted a celebration dedicated to International Women's Day, which turned into a truly joyful event.

As emphasized at the beginning of the ceremony, the Turkmen woman has been a symbol of sanctity, loyalty, and nobility throughout the ages, enjoying profound respect. The event was attended by modern women working at the central office of the State Service of Maritime and Inland Waterways of Turkmenistan, its subordinate enterprises, and joint-stock companies, all of whom contribute significantly to the development of the industry.

The most touching and solemn moment of the holiday was the presentation of gifts on behalf of our esteemed President. Following the noble tradition established in our country, cash gifts in the amount of 60 (sixty) manats were presented to the women with great pride. These gifts became a clear symbol of the high respect the state has for the dignity of women and their role in the family and society.

During their speeches, the participating women expressed their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag, and our Heroic Serdar with Arkadag for the wide opportunities created and the constant care provided for women to work and live a happy life.

The event further boosted the festive spirit of the women working in the industry and increased their enthusiasm for creative labor. The solemn start to the first days of spring served as a harbinger of happiness and prosperity for every home in our country.
