A delegation from the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, led by Deputy Chairman M. Muhammedov, visited the Russian Federation from December 14 to 18, 2025, for a working visit. The main topic of discussions was the preparation of a Joint Action Plan to further deepen and expand cooperation between the Federal Customs Service of Russia (FCS) and the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan for 2026–2028.
The delegations reviewed the current state of bilateral customs cooperation and identified priority areas for development. Special attention focused on coordinating the parameters of the future plan, which will cover expanding collaboration in customs procedure digitalization, information exchange, law enforcement, and staff training, accordind to the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan.
The Turkmen delegation visited the Moscow Customs Electronic Declaration Center, the Russian Customs Academy, and the FCS Canine Center. They studied practical experience and approaches used by Russian customs authorities in organizing official activities.
The meetings concluded with a mutual commitment to continue expanding practical cooperation and strengthening the partnership between the customs services of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation.
