The opening ceremony of the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs was held on Monday in the capital city of Turkmenistan, Ashgabat. The event was attended by the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, according to Turkmenistan's official media.
The university complex, built by the private company Nur Bina Gurluşyk, includes a 9-story main building, four academic blocks, two dormitories with a total capacity of 300 students, a library, a cafeteria, a conference hall, and sports facilities.
The university offers a two-tier education system—bachelor’s and master’s degrees—in both Turkmen and English. The curriculum integrates theoretical knowledge with practical training, covering subjects such as entrepreneurship fundamentals, digital technologies, and business law.
As the first non-state higher education institution in the country, the university features faculties of Economics and Management, Agribusiness, Digital Technologies, Architecture and Construction, as well as a Language Department and a Professional Development Division. It houses 14 departments and 42 laboratories.
The decree establishing the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs was signed on June 27, 2025, by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The new institution aims to become an intellectual hub for training specialists to support the country’s economic modernization, digital transformation, and the development of its private sector’s export potential.
