Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan Visited the “Balkan” Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant

From August 4 to 8 of this year, within the framework of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, held in the National Tourist Zone “Avaza,” the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nurlan Sauranbayev, visited the “Balkan” Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant on August 4, 2025.

During the visit, the Minister toured the territory of the “Balkan” shipbuilding plant and took a keen interest in the construction progress of two dry cargo ships, as well as the ship repair activities being carried out at the shipyard. He was also informed about the organizational structure and overall operations of the enterprise.

Additionally, the Minister discussed with the plant’s management the prospects for cooperation in shipbuilding and ship repair, as well as potential collaboration between the ports of the two brotherly countries.

At the end of the visit, the Minister extended his best wishes to the shipbuilders, wishing them success in completing current construction projects at the “Balkan” Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant, and further achievements in their work.
