The Government of Kazakhstan has developed a draft law on ratification of the agreement on strategic cooperation in the field of transport, logistics and transit with the Government of Turkmenistan.

The adoption of the document will help attract new volumes of transportation through the territories of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan, as well as take joint measures to create favorable tariff conditions, coordinate infrastructure development, and implement digital solutions for the exchange of preliminary and other information.

In particular, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan plan to establish and develop cooperation in the field of rail, sea and road transport, which will lead to the efficient and safe transportation of goods.

The agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of Kazakhstan on the development of cooperation in the field of transport, logistics and transit was signed during the visit of the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Ashgabat on October 10, 2024.
