The "Neptune" drilling rig has been successfully moved from the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea to Azerbaijan. The maritime operation lasted three days and involved vessels from the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO), part of the AZCON holding. This information comes from the official website of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.
Tugs "Hovsan," "Hovsan 2," "SOCAR 1," "Andoga," "Shuvalan," and "Mardakan" participated in the transportation. All of these vessels were previously involved in a similar operation in May 2024, when they helped return the "Saturn" drilling rig to Turkmen waters.
Both operations highlight the consistent maritime cooperation between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan in Caspian energy logistics.
