President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has signed a decree declaring Monday, June 9, 2025, a public holiday in observance of Kurban Bayram, the National Holiday of the Turkmen people, as reported by Turkmenistan’s state news agency on Thursday.
The decree aims to strengthen the spiritual and moral foundations of society, preserve historical traditions and customs, and create a festive atmosphere during a holiday of special significance for every Turkmen citizen.
This year, Kurban Bayram will be celebrated on June 6, 7, and 8. Since June 8 falls on a Sunday, the day off has been officially moved to Monday, June 9.
The decree applies to all institutions, organizations, and enterprises across Turkmenistan, regardless of their form of ownership, and instructs them to ensure compliance with the holiday observance.
